Consomé oil is a blend of the rich fat that naturally renders out from slow-cooking our beef, combined with chili oil from our spice blend. It’s deeply flavoured and packed with all the goodness from the cook.

Tacos get soggy in transit, so we send everything fresh and unassembled. Assembly takes about 3 minutes at home and we include video instructions!

Each kit includes:

  • Canada AAA beef, marinated & slow-stewed in our spice blend
  • Consomé (broth) made from slow-cooking the beef
  • Yellow corn tortillas, grated mozzarella, fresh lime, onions & cilantro

We Didn’t Like Mexican Food
Born and raised in Vancouver, we grew up eating amazing Asian food and decent Italian - but Mexican just never hit. We thought we just weren’t really taco people, and that belief stuck with us for years, until one trip changed everything.

Ok, ok, I know the choice of destination was basic - but we made a commitment to only eat at the local spots. And WOW, the food we found was some of the best we’d ever eaten in our lives. Birria tacos, consomé, amazing seafood, and bold flavours we’d never experienced before. So it turns out we love Mexican food! Just not the ones in Vancouver.

Cravings Back at Home
We came back craving birria and quickly realized that it’s not accessible here, especially in Richmond where we are based. So we did what any two food-obsessed people would do and got to work in our own kitchen. After a lot of experimenting, the result was comparable to what we had in those local Cabo spots. We started making it for friends at house parties. The reaction was immediate: “You guys could actually sell this.”

From Us to You
We’re two people who grew up loving everything about food - cooking it, eating it, sharing it. It’s how we met, and four years later it’s what turned us from a couple into business partners. Having a food business was always a dream for us, and after graduating, one of us said “why don’t we just do it?” - and there’s no reason not to. So we did.
Our first batch sold out immediately and the feedback was incredible. Organic customers who found us through TikTok when we had barely 20 followers started ordering. And every single week, we fell more in love with what we were building.
